I really like reaction type lures. My three favorites are a suspending jerk bait (Husky Jerk), and vibration bait (Rippin Rap), and a tight wobble crankbait like a DT or Shad Rap!
I like to do two things in heavily stained water. First I like to fish as tight to the cover as I can get. I'll often flip a bait to get it in and right next to the cover. The other thing I like to do is to use a bait with a LOT of vibration. My two favorite are a spinnerbait with colorado blades (Molix Water Slash) or a vibration jig like a Molix Lover. Both of these baits put off a tremendous amount of vobration!
YES!!!!!!!!! Fork is one of my favorite lakes in TX. There are a tremendous amount of big bass in that lake. I'm looking forward to going there and trying to finally win one of those things!
Ohhh thats a tuff one. I'm going to have to say the LA Delta. It is a pretty amazing fishery that has both fresh and salt water opportunities! Everything from bass to reds and trout, to tuna! Pretty hard to beat1
Hey everyone, Ike has agreed to stay on a few more minutes because the questions coming in rock! If you don't get your questions answered this time, we'll try to get them in for one of our next chat sessions. The turnout has been great!
My biggest bass to date is 14.1 caught at Lake Amastaid in TX
My Uncle! He is the man. He went through some really diff things and made it through. He was like a dad to me growing up!
Yes we are going to have like 4 to 6 shapes come out each year. My next two shapes will be launched at I Cast this year. They are going to be a soft stick bait and a french fry style lure. They will be really sick!
Congrats! A boat is a tool like everything else. Just remember to keep it out of the woods! LOL
There is a good possibility. We are in the process of putting together the schedule as we speak. So far the only location we have for 2014 is NC! Keep your eye on the Bass University web site for dates and locations!
Suspending Jerk, Vibration Bait or tight wobble crank. If those reaction lures don't work I'd slow down with a jig or shaky head worm!
